IWF Sister Dr. Dorothy Jenkins Fields was honored with a mural in the Historic Brownsville Legacy Murals project. A lifelong resident and key voice in preserving the neighborhood's story, she provided essential historical context to celebrate the pioneers and landmarks that shaped Miami's early Black suburbs. Another special congratulations to Dorothy who is the proud mom of Edda Fields-Black, who just won a Pulitzer Prize for history. |
